Kosovo Legal Services Company, since July 2017, is implementing the EU-funded project “National Centralisationd Criminal Records Register System” (The Central National System of Criminal Evidence in Kosovo) aimed at improving judicial standards, developing and implementing the database of criminal evidence, as well as digitising [the...] data.
Finally, the Judiciary Council has adopted the regulation over Kosovo's Central Criminal Evidence System (NCCR), which has been drafted with the support of the project team.
This regulation aims to establish a unified structure under the KRG and Kosovo Courts for the Central Criminal Evidence System (NCCR).
Based on the goal of the Order, the Project Team designed the NCCR database consisting of the central database for convicts, the process of issuing certificates for criminal status and extraction, as well as rules and procedures for atonement of sentences and access to these information as stipulated by law.
This system is designed to be included in the future even within the European Criminal Evidence System (ECRIS) so that criminal records can be exchanged with European states.
With many details about this project, which has a huge burden on Kosovo's justice system, it will be presented tomorrow at the Swiss Diamond Hotel 50 Pristina.
The Project team will hold the Inaugurative Ceremonia of the Insurance Process of Digitalisation of the Annual Criminal Data.
