The two associations, along with the Italian Association of Prenatal Medicine, have recently decided to deepen the problem of adopting vegetarian diets for child growth and neurocognitive development.
“For the child's proper development, diets that rule out milk and cheese and vegetarian ones are inappropriate, above all considering the neurological, psychological and motor activity”, confirms Andrea Vania, professor of Peditarianage at La Sapienza University in Rome.
Hence, since the first months of a child's life, the best choice is that it envisions the dominant consumption of plant food, and of course, one use - even limited - of animal products.
