Removing the restriction to import cars has been deemed harmful, and with negative effects both on environmental harm, whether in communication or on human health.
Avdi Cameroll from the Ministry of Infrastructure has called it unnecessary to remove the restriction to import cars. Because that, according to him, would turn Kosovo into mass graves of old cars.
The deputy of the Social Democrat Initiative of Kosovo, Bilall the Sheriff, has also been, saying they have shown the initiative that this should go further in co-operation with the adequate ministries.
The American Chamber of Economics representative Albion Gashi has said they are against removing the restriction to import cars, because it gives negative impacts on all aspects.
Agron Demi from the GAP Institute has presented actual statistics on how the removal of import of cars negatively impacts.
Also opposed was the vehicle registration by the buyer, why the car has a recording. The representative of the Automotive Technical Control Association has demanded that this point not be changed to basic law.
This has upset LDK deputy Hykmete Bajrami, who has also said technical controls are conducted without even looking at the car.
However, the MP, who has initiated the completion of the change of this law, Mergim Lushtaku, has explained why he has taken the initiative. He said he did research through the House Research Office on the matter of importing cars into EU countries, where there are no restrictions for years, but only on required standards.
MP PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has indicated that three directions, environmental, social and security, must be viewed to make a decision. For him, euro 4 is extremely shot, as it addresses the environmental problem because the release of gases by Euro4 standards is acceptable in the entire European Union.
After the public hearing this bill will be considered at the collection of the Economic Development Commission, along with amendments that will send out all interested parties. /Kosovo pres/
