Blackwater treatment plant inaugurated in Pristina

The second sewage treatment plant, worth more than 700,000 euros, built on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, will be delivered today to the Pristina municipality and Regional Water Company Pristina during the official ceremony. The ceremony will begin at 10:00, at the site of the newly built factory [...]

The ceremony will begin at 10:00 p.m., at the site of the newly built sewage treatment factory, on the eastern shore of Lake Badoci, near the village of Mramor and will participate in Czech Republic Ambassador Ivo Silhavy, as well as the director of the Cek Development Agency, Pavel Frelich, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and other relevant institutions.

Part of the ceremony will be the demonstration and explanation of the sewage treatment processes.

According to the water pipeline report, this project has been funded by the Czech Republic under the Cek Co-operation and Development Programme, in co-operation with Kosovo institutions and is co-financed by the Pristina Community and KRU Pristina. This project presents an important moment in developing the environment sector in Kosovo.

The project is implemented by the Association of Professional Companies from the Czech Republic . Ircon sh.pk as the leader of the consortium and Topolette.

The local partner in Kosovo was Project Plus L.L.C. “We are very pleased to be one of the first Czech companies helping the Republic of Kosovo solve the problem with ecological waste loads untreated. This new sewage treatment plant will be equipped with the latest efficient technologies in the sewage treatment field” said Mr. Jan Topol, director of the Topolutter Company.

The implementing company, in addition to building the sewage plant, completed operations and maintenance training and organised an awareness campaign for residents with special focus on children.
