Regarding the recent discussion being discussed about the partition of Mitrovica, South Mitrovica Chairman Agim Bahtiri has reacted, who has called for a table at which Kosovo's partition will be rejected, writes Periscope.

Bahtiri in his official Facebook account wrote:

Pressure for Opposition of Kosovo Separations

Seeing that some recent developments regarding the situation in the country in general are going in the opposite direction with Kosovo's national and state interests, for Monday (23.07.18) I have called a table with political parties, representatives of religious communities, NGOs and city intellectuals, where they will talk about these developments and the activities needed to counter them.

Statements of the country's leaders that in talks with Serbia, there will be no red lines, there are ominous warnings of Kosovo's future, meaning the possibility of partitioning Kosovo. Since the situation is very serious, it requires the mobilization of all the citizens and institutions of the country to strongly oppose these trends, which are Serbia's past aspirations.

Therefore, I invite representatives of institutions, leaders of all political parties in Mitrovica, representatives of religious communities, NGOs and various associations, and personalities with authority and influence, to participate in this table and to make their contribution to prevent such tendencies, which are in full opposition to the interests of the state of Kosovo and its citizens.

The table wants to discuss further steps of rejecting the idea of partition and the possibility of agreeing to the body of a nationwide protest over the coming days.

The table will be held in the environments of the Culture Centre “Rexhep Mitrovica”, on the edge of Ibrit, starting at 12:00.
