According to Serbian public television, the operation was carried out in the homes of former Kosovo Security Forces members of ethnic Serb affiliation who have left the service.
These reports also drew reaction from Kosovo police.
In a media communiqué, police have indicated that five people have been arrested, but say they are neither members of KSF.
“At the same time, the Kosovo Police through this official communiqué, with the aim of correct information of public opinion, expose some Serbian media/portals, which claim a police operation is under way against several former KSF members, and we find that these are just some assumptions or speculation of the media in question”, says the police report.
Police detainees have been involved in activities against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo.
But, police have not denied that the operation has been realised over the pressure being put on Serbs for the KSF's resignation.
“Today, on July 10, 2018, following investigations conducted by the relevant police units, with the competent court's ordinance being carried out, a police operation involving several locations in the Gjilan region. During this operation so far in the quality of suspects have been arrested (5) five people (m/a/k) under suspicion that the same have been involved in activities against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo”, Kosovo Police now report.
On the other hand, Serbian media have reported that today's morning it is the facilities of the cultural and educational centre -- the Bozidar Mitrovic Sandorova in Gjilan.
E The police all announced was that the operation is still under way.
Kosovo's “Police guarantee all citizens indiscriminately that its actions base them on the country's Constitution and legislation in force, while the police operation is continuing in co-operation and co-ordination with justice authorities”, it is said further in police notice./Periscopi
