The American Dypomat raises the alarm: Trump could pull US from NATO

To predict what President Trump will do is a dangerous sport. He travels to Europe tomorrow at the NATO summit, will visit Great Britain, and will finally meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Everyone's on the fever. Former American Ambassador to [...]
The world is expected to change this week. In short, this is the tone of a tweet, of former ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro.
Former US diplomat, a close associate of former President Obama, has said that during this week, when NATO is collected, President Trump is likely to do what no one has been able to imagine until yesterday: Pull the United States from NATO.
So many people can say that I'm overreacting, and I'm wrong God, but we'd be crazy if we didn't see this option”, he wrote Shapiro on Twitter.
“Trump wants to withdraw the US from NATO; he doesn't believe in the Alliance; he thinks Allies are taking advantage of us”, wrote away Shapiro, continuing how Trump's reports with Putin only make this scenario even more likely.
“He wants to recognise Russia's invasion of Crime, he wants to ease sanctions against Russia due to aggression against Ukraine”.
I don't think we're fully aware that we're at the starting point of a new era, where a new world order will be determined. And I don't think this is going to happen during Trump's mandate. I think this is going to happen this week”, the former American diplomat wrote.
On the other hand, Trump has continued his verbal battle with NATO allies today, who according to him are not paying enough for the alliance. The American president, along with other leaders of NATO states, will land in Brussels tomorrow, where the NATO Summit will be held.
Except for Brussels Trump on this European tour, he will visit Great Britain, where major protests against him are expected. After his visit to Britain, he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Before leaving for this Trump tournament, he told the media that “meeting with Putin will be the easiest one, from all other” meetings. He has not spoken of the possibility of withdrawing from NATO, but has sharply criticised European allies.
Trump had also had a very bad time at the last meeting of the G7, where all US allies had come up against his economic policies.
Many say Trump's reports with Russia are currently much better than his reports with other NATO states.
The NATO Alliance was established after the end of World War II as the balance of the Soviet bloc, which had gathered in the Warsaw Pact.
