Scientists hope the pill is a confirmation that HIV vaccine is effective and is currently tested in monkeys.
They were even exposed to the virus six times but were not infected. This confirmed that the vaccine has a positive effect, scientists say.
The test showed that two thirds of the monkeys exposed to the virus were not infected.
Scientists at Harvard and MlT who have developed this vaccine are very happy and optimistic about the results.
If it turns out to be positive, it will be the first saving shepherd to be affected by this disease. The vaccine was taken by 393 healthy volunteers aged 18-50 to see how it affects the organism.
Scientists say “vaccine Imbokodo” reinforces the immune system. It was tested in 2015 in Africa, Thailand and the United States, while testing has lasted 48 weeks, the Kosovo Press broadcasts.
They hope that the research will end and produce results by 2021.
