Journalist Shkumbin Kajazi has long been facing a very tough battle with Mitrovica municipality chairman Agim Bahtiri.

For several years since I decided to dedicate my life to the profession, I have had dozens or hundreds of threats, insults, blackmail, and what not. From the beginning of this profession, anyone who wants to become a journalist knows that journalism and danger go together. He came from the mayor of Mitrovica, but not unexpected. So, I took it the same as sports.

But Agim Bahtiri has chosen to keep an eye on me, not to confront me directly, but to my family. This time with my sister, who dismissed her two days after the text for the employment of the chief of the cabinet, for which I also received the threat.

Bahtiri, through his son Vallon, has taken my sister, Ferdije Tahiri, a mother of three children from 16-17, from her place of work that she held for more than two and a half years.

Ferdija worked at the mushroom factory JHirano Mushroom, where one of the directors is the mayor's son.
