23 000 euros worth of wages only for the Assembly administration staff

The Commission for Business and Finance has reviewed the Kosovo Assembly spending report for the first quarter of 2018.

Commission Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku requested clarification from the Assembly why 25 thousand euros have been spent on subsidies for public entities, as well as wages for official travel.

“What has subsidised the Assembly for three months to a lot of 25 thousand euros. Official trips MPs 21,000 euros in wages spending for three months. At the same time, the army's staff needs 23 thousand euros. How is that possible? To reduce large teams from looking like trips abroad”, Abdixhiku said.

While asking the Secretary of the Parliament to know what the number of councilors of the Speaker of the Parliament is, what their expenses and salaries are.

Parliament Secretary Ismet Krasniqi said the Speaker of the Assembly has 14 advisers who receive salaries of 1040 and 1070 euros.

Even Naser Osmani's LDK deputy demanded clarification on why some of the Assembly's expenses were made only at two restaurants.

And commission chairman Abdixhiku received criticism at the address of the Parliament and in terms of lunch expenses, which he believed amounted to 250 euros a day.

There are 250 euros in lunch days spent the Assembly. How is it that the Parliament eats 250 euros a day? This is a huge misappropriation”, Abdixhiku said
