Thaci and former Italian prime minister: Whole region must move towards EU

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has hosted former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema today.

President Thaci has thanked the former Italian prime minister for his commitment to Kosovo and the region.

“Thank you for your personal commitment, for support for Kosovo and the region. We will be grateful forever”, President Thaci has said.

While, former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema has said Kosovo has moved on.

Kosovo has moved on. It is time for the entire region to move towards the EU”, he said.

President Thaci and the former Italian prime minister have also spoken of the importance of building good interethnic relations in the Western Balkans, citing the importance of the Sofia Summit as confirming the European perspective for our region.
