The chairman of the Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK), Naim Ternava, has called for the judicial status of religious communities to be resolved.
In this interview given to the newspaper “The new era”, Ternava has stressed that without reason the judicial status of religious communities is dragging on.
He has said the draft law, which is already in the country, does not provide solutions to religious communities, however, that it places them under the law.
Ternava has confirmed that solutions must be found so that the imams and BIK officials have even dignified wages.
In this interview, Ternava has also talked about the challenges facing the institution in charge.
He has stressed that among BIK's challenges are the education and preservation of believers on the right path, combating extremist doctrines, preventing negative phenomena such as suicides and using narcotics.
Ternava has suggested that the central mosque in the capital will be built this year.
