Stings from ticks in Kosovo increase

There are no cases of infection with the virus of cogo hemorrhagic fever, but worrying is the growing number of cases of stinging from ticks at the country level, including Malisheva.

So said representatives of the Malisheva Town and the Regional Institute of Public Health.

According to a municipality report, the deputy head of the Malisheva municipality, Hajdin Berisha, and the municipal director for Health Liridon Hoti, who are members of the municipal staff for fighting and preventing the EHKK, have waited at a working meeting, officials of the Regional Institute of Public Health (IRSHP), led by responsible Nurishhe Hulaj.

At this meeting, the epidemiological situation in the Malisheva municipality, which is under control and there are no cases of infection with the EHKK.

At today's meeting, between municipality responsibles and the IRSHP, it was said that there are no cases of infection with the virus of strokes of congo crimes, but worrying is the increasing number of cases of tick stinging, at the country level, including Malisheva. Also at this working meeting, there has been talk of measures taken so far, under measures to prevent and combat the EHKK, and has voiced concern once again, but not to implement the activity of animal rechosing, as the most effective measure in fighting and preventing EHKK”, the statement said.
