Statements showing Thaci has understood that it is easy to take the lead in dialogue

President Hashim Thaci today has hosted EU rapporteur for Kosovo Igor Sholtes, who has thanked him for his due support, while saying Kosovo is building political consensus for dialogue with Serbia held in Brussels with the European Union's mediation.

He stressed that at the Sofia Summit it has become clear that the states of the Western Balkans must build bilateral European relations if they want to become part of the European Union.

We are working to produce as many positive arguments as possible for Kosovo supporters. We are working to build political consensus for dialogue with Serbia. Remember, a perception has been created that the entire region is being helped, except for Kosovo”, Thaci has said.

While, EU rapporteur for Kosovo Igor Sholtes has said he is in Kosovo to collect as much data as possible to report to the European Parliament.

This is why we are in Kosovo to collect as much data from Kosovo institutions' leaders in order to report to the European Parliament”, he said.

Meanwhile, today Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica, on behalf of the Government, has submitted the motion for attracting the platform for dialogue to normalise relations between Kosovo and Serbia to give time to build consensus.

“On behalf of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj I request to remove the platform for finalising dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia for normalising relations between the two countries that were prosecuted in the Assembly on April 23rd 2018, so that we can give time to build a broader national consortium and continue to respond to further consultations”, Recica said before MPs.

While Serbian List MP Slavko Sim enemies demanded the removal of the religious freedoms bill from the agenda, as they need additional consultations about the bill. Even the Serbian List MP's motion, to withdraw the bill on religious freedoms from the agenda, was passed by majority of votes.
