Rohan admits he was wrong with association.

Albert Rohan appears happy every time he hears good news from Kosovo. The new state, the Austrian mediator, names it an infant to himself, since he has drafted its independence status.
He has no doubt that the package known as the Ahtisaari Plan for Kosovo was almost perfect.

However, Martti Ahtisaari's deputy would make improvements in points dealing with the Association of Serbian municipalities, should things have returned to his hand once again.

When I got it from the European chapter, it was clear what it is. But inside and when viewed by the Serb position, I would have to make it clearer by saying that municipalities can co-operate in an advisory association. I would adopt advisory words”, Rohan says of the Kosovo Clan.

The retired Austrian diplomat acknowledges that he has established emotional ties with Kosovo.

I think of Kosovo as my baby somehow. Of course you are happy and proud when you behave and it's successful, my heart is there, he adds.

Because of this relationship, he is almost every day interested in what is happening to the new country.

If I read good news I am happy, if I read bad news: God, there they are again, Rohan explains.
