Protest leaders, former politicians and representatives of several small parties, as well as leaders of nationalist fans known as “kmits”, have demanded the resignation of the government led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, but also of opposition deputies, demanding them join, as they said, people to prevent Macedonia's destruction.
Protesters have cheered slogans like “Macedonia- Macedonia”, “Resign <x73>, “Trader”, we don't give the name”, but have even directed insults against Albanians, accusing them that “are working on the collapse of Macedonia joined by Zoran Zaev<8>.
Demonstrators have called a new protest during Tuesday's noon before the Macedonian Assembly. They called this protest after Parliament's leader, Talat Xhaferi, announced that the debate on ratification of the agreement on the name “Northern Macedonia “will begin on Tuesday, initially on the European affairs commission, and then will come to the plenary session.
Macedonia and Greece have signed the name-changing agreement, ending the 27-year-old dispute, which has prevented Skopje from membership in NATO and the European Union.
