The project is being realised with the support of the government of Germany and Switzerland.
Minister Resitij after thanking donors for the support said the plants for treating contaminated waters are infrastructure grounds for a cleaner water environment, so improving their technical situation and financial sustainability will be treated with special care.
“The current state of water treatment polluted in the Republic of Kosovo is in the phase of continued investments, ranging from feasibility studies for seven major urban centres, continued with smaller settlements, to the business centre, the minister declared.
Reshim finally estimated that this project would affect the growth of the quality of life of Gjakova citizens as a high-value natural area, which with an efficient management of polluted waters will become much more attractive for investment in economic growth and tourism development as a city with old urban tradition.
Following Minister Resitiy, the case was also presented to the ambassadors of Germany and Switzerland Christian Heldt, Jean-Hubert Lebet, and Roland Siler deputy chairman of the German Development Bank- KfW.
