The Kosovo government has adopted the draft law on expanded competencies for the seizure of property, through which the seizure of any property acquired through criminal work is being aimed.
The bill, which has been submitted to Government by the Ministry of Justice, stipulates expanded competencies for the seizure of property when detailed procedures in the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo's Criminal Procedure Code are not sufficient.
This bill is aimed at taking decisive steps against abusers, organised crime perpetrators, officials and political persons that can be enriched through corruption and abuse of power.
The Supreme Court's Special Chamber Bill on Cases concerning the Kosovo Privatisation Agency has also been adopted and several other decisions have been considered.
