The police are in the rain because of the turtle.

Policemen named Sharnise Hawkins from Greenbelt were photographed standing in the middle of the street during a rainy storm, making sure no car would hit the turtle trying to cross the street.

It was a strange scene, as the policeman was standing in heavy rain with a smile on his face as she accompanied the turtle.
