PDK charges VVA with wiretapping

Luljeta Vesela-Gutaj, PDK deputy in her address in the Kosovo Assembly, has raised concerns about the way of governance in Pristina, and has discussed recent wiretapping where officials of Albin Kurti's party are involved.

The Kosovo Democratic Party has consistently conveyed the mode of governance in Pristina. Since Pristina represents us all, as the capital, I want to say we are concerned with recent developments in the Pristina municipality. The publication of surveillance by senior Vetevendosje officials of Albin Kurti, who are involved in a shopping link with municipal property, well shows how this party and past municipal governance with Pristina”, MP Vesey-Gutaj has said.

According to her, this shows and confirms what the PDK had said last year on several occasions and presented with facts.

“What is now coming up is almost the same, but with additional facts and even more incriminating protagonists of this surveillance are Nexhat Kryeziu, the director of the residential Company in Pristina, the former candidate for deputy and former candidate for the mayor of Malisheva from LVVV, while the second is Liridon Latifi of this company's board and violent LV-ex1>, he said in fact.

According to the MP, the annulment of the competition for rent of locals near the Cathedrals in Pristina, because two LV militants have not benefited in the competition, clearly shows that not only in the NPB, but also in all Pristina municipality institutions has been manipulated this way, settling up party militants, and giving tenders to support businesses of the Vetevendosje Movement.

We seek from law and order bodies to conduct investigations and abusers of official positions that are within Pristina municipality institutions to be brought to justice”.

Vesela-Gutaj said PDK in Pristina will not support revenge behaviour the LVV is taking against PSD and Shpend Ahmeti, as they would not support either the neglect or the removal of responsibility they are making Pristina municipality chairman Shpend Ahmeti.

Also, from our assistants in the Pristina municipality, we have learned that the mayor of Pristina, that is, the capital, is ignoring the municipal assembly as a whole and is fleeing the responsibility he has for many problems. We demand that Shpend Ahmeti respond to the situation created in the Pristina municipality, as well as to act with decision-making responsibility for 100 problems of Pristina citizens. We assure Pristina citizens that the PDK will not be a blocking party in Pristina's Municipal Assembly. Rather, where help is required from us we will help and protect the interests of the citizens of Pristina”.
