Following the political parties' table that was invited by the Social Democrat Party of Shpend Ahmeti, the Democratic League of Kosovo has come out with a statement under which early elections are necessary to emerge from the institutional crisis where Kosovo is introduced, writes Periscopi.
According to the LDK, the coalition governing Kosovo is a minority coalition that cannot make major decisions.
Even the work of the Kosovo Assembly is said to be blocked as a result of lack of numbers.

The loss of most of the ruling coalition that took place three months ago has brought the country into crisis. This first three months assessment is even more current now, as the crisis has deepened.
The government cannot address any major issue except routine decisions that a technical government in office can make. The Assembly is unstable.
The political parties' table has been initiated by the LDK with a single theme that is like getting out of this institutional crisis. In such a situation, we cannot discuss other subjects. The topics of national importance cannot be addressed by a minority coalition.
Hence, early elections are necessary to get out of this situation.
It is in the interest of citizens for political parties to reach consensus regarding:
(i) The principles to be followed in addressing these subjects of national importance regardless of who governs today and who tomorrow as well as
(i) Setting the date of early elections and preparations needed to produce a stable government of a majority.
In the spirit of that, the LDK is willing to talk and reach the concession. Otherwise these tables don't make sense. We will use constitutional ways not to allow the country to be damaged by this ruling minority coalition.
