The knee gets hysterical: Albanian extremist groups causing unrest in Mitrovica

The wound of a young Serb in Suhadol settlement near Mitrovica confirmed once again that there are informal power centres and extremist groups organised among Albanians in Kosovo, says Kosovo Office Director Marko Djuric's statement. The aim of these extremist groups, according to the statement, is to downplay efforts to resolve problems in the province by political means and Serbian-Albanian relations are peacefully and civilizedly resolved, Periscope broadcast “Danas” reported.
This type of force demonstration cannot bring anything good, and I ask from Pristina and the international community to prevent further deterioration of the security situation in Kosovo, and it must condemn those responsible for this incident and many other attacks on Serbs in the last two months”, said Marko Djuric, director of the Kosovo office.
According to Djuric, Serbia and the Serbian people will not be oppressed in their efforts to assure people of a normal life, as they are today for all Europeans other than Serbs in Kosovo.
Last night, at the same time as this armed attack, for the fourth time in the past two months, construction of an ambulance offering health services to Suhadol residents was destroyed.
“Djuriq estimated that attacks on health institutions and health care workers are an act of anti-civilisation even in the conditions of war, and it is incredible that these things will happen in peacetime, in the face of international security structures and organisations in charge of Kosovo rule of law”.
“Remember that the municipal demarcation issue in the village of Suhadol was part of Brussels' dialogue, precisely because of our concern for the security of Serbs in that solution and that this is one of the provisions of the agreement that Pristina has not met. Instead, we have an organised campaign of Serb intimidation in that solution, which could have dangerous consequences”, Djuric said at the end of his statement./Periscopi/
