Hospital competitions off after attempts to elect directors to be elected persons close to PDK

Weeks ago, it was reported that Mimoza Zeqiri, wife of Lulzim Zeqiri, adviser to Kadri Veselini, was assessed at the maximum point by the assessment commission to lead with the Mitrovica hospital.

The assessment commission also gave the maximum point to the former municipal director from PDK ranks Sami Istrefi, who a mandate led the public service directorate and another mandate of urbanism.

However, the USKKUK General Director's office has confirmed to KTV that it has made a decision to cancel the competition.

However, KSFKUK says the reason for canceling the contest is because candidates were not able to interview on time.

“Yes, the legal deadline has passed, and therefore the competition for the Mitrovica and Vushtrri hospital has been cancelled. Candidates have not been interviewed because the selection commission has not been complete, since the member of communities has had a trip abroad, for personal reasons, and the other member has been on medical leave, as there have been health problems”, said in response by the USKKKU General Director's Office.

Reactions for irregularities in the process were also made by the two mayors, Mitrovica's Agim Bahtiri and Jhafer Tahiri of Vushtrri.

Bahtiri and Tahiri, through a joint reaction, had requested cancellation and review of this competition.

But Health Minister Uran Ismaili had accused Bahtiri and Tahiri that they are more concerned about themselves than about citizens and the health system in these cities.

Kosovo's University Clinical Hospital Service has confirmed that it is continuing the competition for several other regional hospitals and QKUK clinics.

While it is expected to resurgent soon the competition for director of the Endorkrinology Clinic, as it too was cancelled.
