Haradinaj says Kosovo contributing to regional, global stability

At the Conference for Global Security, with particular emphasis on the fight against terrorism, violent extremism and radicalism, which is being held in Tirana, Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, has spoken about the constructive role and contribution of the Republic of Kosovo to regional and wider co-operation in the function of establishing peace and stability.
This conference helps the national team combat violent extremism, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said on this occasion that religious communities and religious leaders will continue to be one of the most important partners in the fight against messages of radicalism and violent radicalism, and added that it will continue to work closely with religious leaders in strengthening the relations of various religious communities.
Speaking about global challenges and future steps in overcoming them, Prime Minister Haradinaj said that the Republic of Kosovo has approved the Strategy for Prevention of Distant Extremism and Radiism leading to Terrorism, as well as the action plan, being part of the global commitment of the democratic world led by the United States, in the fight against all threats and forms of extremism and terrorism.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said Kosovo institutions are determined to prevent any spread of extremist ideology that has the potential to shift to terrorism, and for that it has adopted the Law that prohibits citizens from participating in foreign wars.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Haradinaj said violent extremism and radicalism are phenomena that do not have a homeland, do not have a specific location, but are pose a danger to the contemporary world, to humanity, to peace and especially to innocent people.
At the end of his speech, Prime Minister Haradinaj reiterated the request that the Republic of Kosovo join international security institutions, especially in Interpol, as well as the possibility of co-operation with Europol in order to make its contribution.
