If you are a woman born in Saudi Arabia you are forbidden to do these things:
- There's a rigorous dress code consisting of wearing a black garment called "Abaya (the boat) that leaves only the face or eyes discovered.
- Saudis can't travel without a male caretaker hram MAhramhram, especially on long-term trips.
- If the woman wants to leave the house, go on a trip or work, she should get permission from her supervisor, this may be her father, brother, uncle, or, in some cases, her son. If you do this without permission, you may be punished.
- They cannot marry or divorce without permission from their “hram”.
- If a Saudi woman wants to marry abroad, she must first apply for a permit from her country's Interior Ministry; and her future husband must be Muslim.
- Women may have bank accounts on their behalf, but first they should ask their defenders for permission.
- The testimony of a woman is only half that of a man under the Saudi judicial system. In one family, girls receive only half their brothers ' inheritance. In the case of divorce, if men allow it, mothers may have custody of their children for seven years at most for their children and nine for their daughters.
