Prices of elementary products in Kosovo are getting up and running. Even more so on the holiday Eve. Both citizens and experts appreciate these prices beyond compare. The Statistics Agency shows which prices were raised and in which products.

On the eve of Fiter Bajram's holiday, citizens are complaining of awards.

Consumers speak for Kosovo Prees, saying these prices are unaffordable.

These are unaffordable, because our economy and importing economies are not productive. All things are imported, even basics are imported from the outside. Only in certain seasons can certain items be produced in our country, Kosovo. So when necklace expenses, transports, customs, TVS apply to the border, so even the selling points set a price, which is the price difference they should earn and raised for that reason”, says Bellaqa.

While chairman of the Association “Consumer”, Ceatin Kachanik says family baskets with consumer products have marked raises.

It has also singled out that merchants besides prices manipulate products with quality, quantity, and time.

There are more price movements, larger moves than we see, prices rise by lowering weight, prices rising by lowering quality, prices raised by manipulating the scandal, manipulating the components... Most of the prices, particularly food items in Kosovo, are more expensive than in Europe. And if we realize that quality is not adequate, nor quantity nor components, even here, it turns out that the price is twice as high as in Europe, and that nobody is controlling or monitoring it, Kachanic said.
