Greece's and Macedonia's prime minister have arrived in the Prespa border region on Sunday for the signing ceremony to end the old dispute between the two countries due to Macedonia's name.
Greece's Alexis Tsipras and Macedonia's Zoran Zaev witnessed signing the agreement by the two countries' foreign ministers, Reuters reports.
Now Macedonia, which we recognise so far, will be called “Republic of Northern Macedonia”.
Zaev arrived at the ceremony on a quick yacht, where he was received from Tsipras on the Greek side of the lake, where they were warmly embraced.
The agreement must be approved by both parliaments, and a referendum is under way in Macedonia.
