Trmkoll's strange proposal: Trying to get involved in Brucekel dialogue problems of 1877/ 78

In this letter, Trmolli has demanded that, within the dialogue for peace between the two countries, the question of the return of property of Albanians expelled from cities such as Nis, Prokupla, Kursullia and the Toplica region, which, as the former LDK delegation says, “are annexed, and today are under Serbia's geox1> political administration.

Therefore, Trmolli has demanded from the above mentioned “your support for the return of Serbia-advanced lands to Sandzak, the real owners, based on all international norms and regulations”.

“Today Europe (European Parliament) and other European states as the condition for integration into Europe are also urging Turkey to accept the genocide of the Ottoman Empire against Armenians. I consider that such a thing with more determination should be required for Serbia's genocide against Albanians from 1877-1878 to 1999”, the former LDK delegation says.

I/Your Honor,

I am addressing you with this letter of confidence that I will be correctly understood in the purpose and application I have submitted to resolve in the talks with Serbia.

At the end of 1877 and early 1878, Serbia forcibly expelled more than 300,000 Albanians from a compact territory, including cities like Nis, Prokuple, Kursumli, the Toplica region, which were annexed and today are under Serbia's political and judicial administration.

In this almost entirely Albanian part, Serbia made ethnic cleansing and genocide against Albanians.

In the cold winter of 1877-1878, the army of the Serbian gendarmerie killed and cut off women and children, men and women, old and old, with the lame sword all Albanians, on their own land, in their own country. Those that “saved” from the murder were expelled and forced to migrate to other Albanian-run parts, mainly in Kosovo and Albania, but also in Turkey.

Knowing that one of the essential values of Western democracies, the US and Europe, are fundamental human rights, so even property rights, we strongly believe that property returns which Serbia violently usurped through ethnic cleansing and genocide will be returned to legitimate owners and their offspring.

We therefore confidently seek your support, for the return of lands occupied by Serbia to Sandzak, the real owners, based on all international norms and regulations.

In the Berlin Congress decisions, Paragraph X XXIX (39) says “Mysmilians (because they did not recognise us as an Albanian people) who have property in an annexed territories from Serbia and who want to live outside Principata, can do so and at the same time maintain their property, or close down if they are stores, or give for management a third party...” (Congress of Berlin 1878, Historian Jusuf Bujowi)

So, since the Berlin Congress has remained open the question of returning Albanian property expelled from Sandzak in Nis, because even though it became an international commission to regulate the issue, Serbia never allowed its realisation. So this even today gives us the right to bring up the issue of their return, the more so when the Western democratic world considers property right sacred and one of the pillars of Western values.

Building real reports between Kosovo and Serbia would be much easier if Serbia had the will and would be able to accept genocide and ethnic cleansing against Albanians made in 1877-1878 and 1997-1999, and repair the damage caused by Albanians for more than a century. Express the conviction that until this is achieved, Serbia, as it is never seen, will give up claims on Albanian lands and efforts to further take action of ethnic cleansing and genocide, with war or <x0 heeshazi”, as is happening today to us, with Albanians in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac and problems with Mitrovica's north.

I think that a historic agreement between two peoples and states would mark a new chapter for the peace, stability and development of this part of Europe.

I am aware that all of this is not an easy challenge and no small matter, just as I believe that with your work and support, the right solution will be reached.
