Serbs seek change of Constitution for Association Function

The change of the Kosovo Constitution was said to be necessary to have a valid legal basis for the functioning of the Association of Serbian municipalities in accordance with the agreement between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels, remains clear.
So stated Vladan Mihajlovic, after the meeting he held with the management team.
At the meeting was talked about the structure and content of the Serbian municipalities' draft association status and many other legal aspects about drafting this document, a media communique said.
Representatives of the management team announced that this mandate was received by the European Union and that the scope of this team is defined with agreements reached in the Brussels dialogue process.
“also, it is specified that neither Pristina nor anyone else, has the mandate to control or direct management team work”, the communique noted.
This team, according to the same communiqué, will continue to hold regular consultative meetings with experts, both in the judicial field and in other areas concerning the future competencies of the Serbian municipalities' association.
