It's a mountainous terrain in the northeast of the country and is thought to be the main place where nuclear tests were conducted.
Since 2006, the genus regime has conducted six nuclear tests, and they have all been in the Mantap Mountain tunnel near Punggye.
The last test was conducted on September 3rd of last year, which caused a quake magnitude of 6.3.
In April of this year, the leader Kim Jong Un declared that his country would suspend the nuclear weapons testing, and close Punggye.
According to scientists, the explosion created a hole in the mountain in which the entire hilly terrain collapsed.
In October, Japanese media news reported that a tunnel under construction had collapsed and some 200 workers had died, reports “Sky News” Transmission Periscope.
And in December, other quakes were heard raising the alarm for mountain stability.
It's hard to know more about the mountain because access to this terrain is very difficult, and so far the data that is provided has been achieved through satellite images.. /Periscopi/
