Rich in potassium, banana foods forbid fatal blockages to occur and narrow arteries. Alabama University scientists have discovered the effects following tests on rats at heart disease.
Rats were fed at low, normal, and high potassium levels, and the results showed that those who were fed at lower potassium levels grew larger.
While those who received high potassium levels had less veins narrowed and reduced the rigidity of the aorta. But consumption at high levels caused stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Dr. Mike Knappton, says non-consuming at proper potassium levels strengthens the arteries.

Officials say 3,500 mg potassium must be consumed every day, a quarter of which is completed by eating two bananas. Other mineral - rich foods are potato, brocholi, cabbage, seeds, fish, and chicken.
