Saudi Arabia has signed an agreement with the Vatican to build churches for Christian citizens, reports said in Egypt media reports.
Vatican Archbishop Jean-Louis Tauran has recently visited the Saudi kingdom, where he talked to senior officials about inter-religious ties, reports “Al Jazeera”, the Periscope broadcast.
In an interview for “Vatican News”, Tauran confirmed that a declaration in which a further dialogue will be opened, but did not mention building churches in Saudi Arabia.
Tauran has met with Saudi senior officials, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Currently, Saudi Arabia bans the practice of different beliefs besides Islam. /Periscopi/
