Ramush Haradinaj has met with Pope Francescu

The meeting has confirmed for Koha.net, Donjet Gashi, spokeswoman for the Government of Kosovo.

At the meeting, as Koha.net learns, general topics have been discussed, while Haradinaj has thanked the Pope for the reception.

The prime minister has also thanked the Holy Father for his devotion in relation to common values.

Later in the day, media communiqués are expected to be released, as well as photos from this meeting.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Haradinaj, who is standing on an official visit to the Vatican, has met with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, who has asked for recognition of Kosovo's independence.

Likewise, Haradinaj in yesterday's afternoons has met Italy's Arberes, who said that over the centuries they have preserved the identity, language, Albanian and Christian values.

I had the pleasure of conversing with some of them during our visit to the Church of St. Thanas and the Greek College in Rome, institutions that contributed to the preservation of this tradition. Italy's Arberes have always been a source of inspiration and power to all Albanians and are a stored value to us that we should appreciate”, Haradinaj said.
