KSF Commander Lieutenant General Nundman Rama attended the 25th anniversary ceremony of the US National Guard State Partnership Programme (SPP), where General Joseph L. Langyel, Commander of the National Guard Bureau of the National War College, the University of National Defence, Ft McNair, Washington DC.
According to the communiqué sent to the media by the KSF Ministry, under this visit, General Rama met with senior State Department officials, Mr. Matt Palmer and Deputy Secretary of Defense. Laura Copper, with whom he discussed recent developments in KSF, security challenges in the region and the KSF transition process in FAK.
He was accompanied by the ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, Vlora Citaku, US Defence attaché Colonel Ilir Qariqi, the US Defence Agreement in Pristina Colonel Jeffrey H. Fischer as well as the commander of the National Guard of Ajova, Major General Timothy Orr, on May 17, 2018
Rama stressed the recent visit to Kosovo of over 100 Alev citizens from numerous sectors such as education, agriculture, small business, sports, military, security. He especially thanked him for his contribution to developing field exercise “Eagle 6”
Under this visit, General Rama met with senior State Department officials, Mr. Matt Palmer and Deputy Secretary of Defense. Laura Copper, with whom he discussed recent developments in KSF, security challenges in the region and the KSF transition process in FAK. General Rama announced with the KSF's accomplished achievements as a reliable and comprehensive force and thanked them for their continued support. Gen Rama also held a meeting in the Senate, where she met with Senator Joni Ernst from Aiva. In this case, they talked about the expansion and dynamism of the Interstate Partnership. Also Gen Rama met with Congressman Mike Turner from the Committee for NATO, with which there was opportunity for discussion over possible steps and processes for integration into regional and Euro-Atlantic security structures, as well as recognised by Oi for KSF co-operation with NATO”, is said to be further in the report.

Rama and the Secretary of Air Force also discussed the possibility of improving cyber security in Kosovo through Air Force support as the main area of the US Air Force mission.
