In Albania, journalist Jethmir Olldashi said today that he was the author of spying on the brother of Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj and Albert Veliut, the person who has publicly stated he spoke to Agron Xhafaj about trafficking in a marijuana quantity.
Journalist Olldashi said the conversation was part of an investigation he was doing for drug trafficking in the city of Vlora.
Shortly after this statement, the Democratic Party reiterated the allegations it has been raising to Interior Minister and Prime Minister Edi Rama that they are trying to hide Agron Xhafaj's criminal activity.
Olldashi showed today that he had come in contact with Albert Veliun after presenting him as a man who knew about drug trafficking in the city of Vlora. He had joined him in the locale of the interior minister's brother in Vlora. He said that while Veliu waited at the local Agron Xhaffen, he himself was sitting in another local opposite.
Unlike Veliu's statements, which denied being aware of the wiretap, journalist Olldashi said today that “in all meetings I had put a recording device on Albert Veliu. Albert arrived shortly after his meeting with Agron Xhafay (Gon) and I received the recording equipment for my conversation. From the dawn of the wiretaped conversation already made and public, Albert Veliu had asked Agron Xhafajt to help secure and traffic a quantity of cannabis to Italy, and Agron Xhafaj had sent him to a person to finish his work”, reports the VOA.
The journalist says that then, along with Veliun “, we ran into a bar which, according to Albert, was known as the bar under the Habilas. There came a person with whom a conversation took place to secure the amount of drugs and then traveled to Traygis to secure another amount of cannabis. Of all the investigation I have noticed that despite reports in the media that criminal groups were hit, the situation in Vlora was out of control. Looking for cannabis was like looking for a normal” product.
Olldashi explains that seeing it involved a sensitive issue and unable to broadcast it after leaving the show where he worked earlier, he decided to address the Democratic Party as the main opposition force in the country.
“In the Democratic Party, I contacted MP Ervin Saliannji, one of the deputies who has denounced drug trafficking and cannabiisation from the hashworks. I informed him in detail of his investigation and results, as a guarantee of my source's safety and personal security”, says journalist Olldashi.
Following the publication of the statement by journalist Olldashi, who claimed his investigative material would make it public on one of the Albanian televisions, her leader, Lulzim Basha, in the Democratic Party appeared before the media.
That's the truth, not the lies of Fatmir Xhafaj, not Eddie Rama's criminal fraud. Edi Rama lied to me shamelessly yesterday claiming to have done his expertise at Surrel, and that he was proved false to”, Basha said.
The opposition, which has called next week and a protest, again pressed charges against the interior minister and prime minister. “Fatmir Xhafa and Edi Rama are today suspected of criminal activity coverage of Agron Xhaftaj's criminal activity, coverage of criminal activity of the non-action of the anti-mafia law, coverage of criminal activity to counterfeit official documents and corruption of the senior official in office. These are the reasons why Fatmir Xhafaj continues to remain in office”, Basha said.
Both Minister Xhafaj and Prime Minister Rama have spoken of a manipulated material. Rama reacted today through a Facebook status, stressing that he would patiently await scientific audio surveillance evidence from the prosecution.
The Albanian will see and hear”, he writes.
