There has also been a decline in teen tobacco consumption as well as in low incomes.
The study has noted that the main reason for these statistics is anti-smoking policies implemented by France.
In recent years France has implemented additional payments for the use of trays, has set higher prices for cigarettes, and has developed antismoking campaign.
