Nobody's dealing with lazy deputies, the Parliament doesn't punish them

In the Kosovo Parliament's sixth legislature of the Parliament, MPs have established a new practice, in addition to the continuing shortages in parliamentary sessions some of them even when they come to the Assembly do not participate in the polls.
But MPs themselves say the main reason for this problem is to regulate the work of the Parliament, which does not sanction MPs who are missing from hearings. According to them, this problem would have to be regulated by reviewing this regulation.
Parliament Deputy Speaker Xhavit Haliti, speaking of the lack of deputies in the Kosovo Assembly, has told “Zerin” that this phenomenon must be regulated through the rules of the Parliament, but that it is pessimistic about that the new Parliament's regulation will be able to regulate this.
“We have made a regulation project that does not absolutely meet standards that have European parliament regulations. This regulation is a formalization, I'd say to fix some other issues than to manage jobs in the Assembly. We have a problem, because we have a lot of democracy and no one gives the account”, he stressed.
Of the total 52 sessions in this legislature, Xhavit Haliti has participated in 42 or 81%.
