A 31-year-old name that did not become known was transported to a hospital in Seattle about 30 miles west with undeposed injuries.
He was conscious when he arrived at the hospital.
He called 911 just before 11:00 in the morning screaming: “Can you hear me? Help me”
The second person, whose name is unknown, fled with the lion following him. Later he was found dead with the animal on his body.
Authorities sent a search and rescue team to regain the bike body. Whether both victims were together or apart is not clear.
