The doors of the armoured van from which the money had been dropped are unknown. Many cars that had happened to be near the van had been stopped to collect as much money as possible, while images of this event were published on the Internet.
The cash-filled bags had fallen from the van on the highway. It was a scene like in action movies, where money was flown down the highway, and other cars were stopped to collect them”, police spokesman Brock McCooe declared.
He has also made it known that he was after people who had stopped cars to collect the money. They've already started collecting information and license plates of all stop cars, and their owners demand to return the money, or they'll be convicted of theft.
This is the second incident of this nature that took place in Indiana. Armed men had recently stolen $500,000 from an armored van.
