Prime Minister Haradinaj has also called on the government cabinet to fully carry out its obligations and to seriously address the obligations they have in their reactors.
The media report points out that European Integration Minister Donue Hoxha has first presented the issue with a focus on implementing European agenda priorities, with priority activities to be completed during May.
The vast majority of these activities are obligations stemming from implementation of the Agency for European Reform (ERA). “The adoption of the CIESA organisational structure and the establishment of its Board”, the minister stressed, within the framework of the second ERA pillar, requires promotion of foreign direct investments.
Completing the co-ordination structure for the small business Act, this activity aims to meet the fourth priority, within the framework of the second ERA pillar, which requires support for NVM development”, Hoxha noted. “approved in the Government Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for Combating the Informal Economy to complete the risk assessment for the NGO sector”, Minister Hoxha stressed, adding that the institution responsible for implementing these activities is the Finance Ministry.
Security of the KAS budget under 2019-2021 for transferring inspectors from the municipal level to the Food and Veterina Agency, ratification of the Transport Community Treaty, finding the suitable location for the construction of the facility for depositing dangerous waste, financed by IPA 2015 funds, are some of the issues the minister Hoxha has asked to be finalised by the end of this year.
Later, Minister Hoxha has presented for approval the Communication and Information Strategy in support of the Kosovo European integration process 2018-2021, which, as a key issue, deals with the communication of the European integration process, respectively, the SAA, with which we intend to inform and communicate with Kosovo citizens and other interest parties, both local and international, for all aspects of the EU membership process, including challenges, benefits and obligations, as well as to enable citizens to be informed and actively participate in shaping the European future of Kosovo.
The minister has introduced for approval in principle the initiative for linking the tripartite financial agreement between the EU, Kosovo and Macedonia for 2017, for implementation of the cross-border co-operation programme that is financed under the pre-membership Instrument (IPA) between Kosovo and Macedonia. We expect this agreement to pave the way for promoting economic development of Kosovo border areas with Macedonia. Therefore, I invite you to approve the initiative in question, so that we can continue with the next steps in terms of opening up the opportunity for Kosovo to benefit from the pre-funded funds within IPA funds for cross-border co-operation”, Minister Hoxha stressed.
Also, for approval, Minister Hoxha has presented the initiative for signing the tripartite financial agreement between the European Union, Kosovo and Albania for 2017, for implementation of the cross-border Co-operation programme, financed under the pre-membership Instrument (IPA) 2014-2020 between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Albania.
The demand for approval in principle also presented the financial agreement for IPA 2018, with the European Union. On April 10, 2018, we have received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommendation for approval in principle of this agreement. The next step, based on the Law on International Accords, is the principled adoption of the initiative by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo”, has stressed Minister Hoxha.
All proposals, for approval by Minister Hoxha, have been approved in the government cabinet.
