The heads of EU member states and their counterparts from the Western Balkan region, after the summit in Sofia, have carried out a family photo outside the National Palace of Culture during the EU Summit the Western Balkans.
What was observed today in these photographs was the presence of German Chancellor Angela Merkel as mediator between Thaci and Vuciqi. Thaci has declared earlier that he has asked Merkel to make its contribution to the Kosovo dialogue Serbia.
Today, the European Union Summit with Western Balkan countries has started works in Sofia.
Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borissov, the host of this summit, has delivered a speech, having been given by European Commission President Donald Tusk.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has met with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who has stressed this morning that he is optimistic that a solution will be reached in dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
