The next meeting of the Inter-institution Group for the Implementation of Strategy and Action Plan against Organised Crime was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In this case, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, the national co-ordinator against organised crime, Salaam Shkodra, said this is a very important time in the phase which the Republic of Kosovo is entering, as we expect our country very important processes in European integrations, and especially in the visa liberalisation process.
Deputy Prime Minister Shkodra called on all actors involved to continue implementing targets within the activities of the Organised Crime Strategy.
“Beyond the objectives of this strategy, we must all move together so that we do not remain hostage to organised crime and corruption, which directly affect society's development. We have to join all state mechanisms to achieve our state objectives”, Deputy Prime Minister Shkodra stressed.
All members of the group reported on the past period, where most of the targets have been realised, there have been a large number of detainees, rising criminal charges and sentences of persons involved in organised crime. Many increased training of capacity of law enforcement institutions has also been held.
