Noelene Lever, now 78, is an Aboriginal woman who has devoted her life to caring for foster children and her five biological children. She worked hard, seven days a week to raise at least eight children at the same time.
Her first biological child was born when she was 20 years old, and after giving birth to her five children, her husband passed away in a tragic accident, leaving her a widow at the age of 36.
Her family moved to Sydney to find a better job to support the family. “I put money on the kids and I said: We can live here with bread and butter, or go to Sydney and have camel and tomato sauce on the plate, and they agreed to move”, has led over the Leave for Daily Mail Femail.
She began her work in Legal Assistance for Aborigins, including the Aborage Children's Service, where Noelen began adopting children.
