Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that the transformation of KSF into the military is the first to take place through constitutional changes, and that does not mean taking KFOR duties.
He made these comments after his meeting with accredited ambassadors in Kosovo.
The head of the country's government said Kosovo is ready from a security absorptionr to become a security contributor.
“Transformation of KSF into the army does not mean taking over KFOR duties. We respect KFOR and the only thing Kosovo's military does is to facilitate KFOR's work and switch to security contributors. We have to act someday. We cannot wait without borders”, Haradinaj has indicated.
He has not made it known when the KSF's transformation into the military will occur, saying that such a thing will still take place in the future.
The U.S. Embassy helped. Taking the vote is now a political process and I am deeply convinced that if not through constitutional change through laws will happen. 11 percent of KSF members are from ethnic communities, including northern Serbs. We don't figure it out every day of the month, but it's gonna happen. My final position was that with the KSF transformed into the army, no one loses”, Haradinaj said.
