Kosovo more imports electricity than exports

In the first quarter of 2018, the total value of coal production was about 1,98 thousand tons, while the gross amount of electricity produced in the thermal power plant was 1,657.5 GWh, while in the hydropower plant, was about 70 GWh, the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) reports.

In the energy balance for the first quarter of this year, data on coal production, data for energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as import and other emergency exports.

As for imported energy values, exported, respectively, during the first quarter 2018, Kosovo has imported 119.2 GWh electricity, while exporting 106.4 GWh electricity.

In the first quarter of 2018, the quantity of electricity for consumption was 1,136.7 GWh, or 2.8 percent higher than the same period last year.
