Long ago, women were not allowed to approach the arena.
For the first time in history, a woman was allowed to enter Japan's bullfight arena after the women's restriction was lifted in an effort to modernise the sport.
Yuki Araki was the first female to accompany her pet to the arena on the first day of the bullfight season, to Hokkaido Island.
The equality between men and women no longer comes into question as well as allowing women in this sport simply improved it.
