Initially, as stated in the statement, on May 24th, President's Day, Kosovo's Historical President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova and his crucial role in the country's independence as an architect of Kosovo's independent and sovereign state.
During the meeting, members of the LDK chairmanship discussed political currentity and important processes awaiting the country in the future.
“in this context was talked about the serious institutional and governing crisis in which the country is located as a consequence of mismanagement in all sectors, as well as the lack of legality and legitimacy of the current governing structure”, the LDK statement said.
The LDK leadership also discussed the management of tables organised by parliamentary political subjects, initiated by the LDK.
“The leaders of the LDK unanimously supported the position that these tables should end with a final table called by the LDK, which should result in the parties' agreement on the date of the new national elections, which should be held in a period as close as possible, as well as for the consensual advance of other important processes for the state and the citizens of”, it is said further.
During the meeting, dialogue process for normalising relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia was also discussed.
The LDK's leadership was unanimous that this dialogue must enter the final phase and that the topics, as well as the format of this dialogue, be clarified in advance.
