Haradinaj awaits Montenegrin minister: Montenegro exemplary in political, economic co-operation

The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has hosted Montenegro's Minister for Transport and Military Affairs Osman Nrkovic, today, where the importance of road and railway ties between Kosovo and Montenegro was stressed. Prime Minister Haradinaj has praised the good bilateral reports between Kosovo and Montenegro, saying this co-operation will continue even in concrete areas such as infrastructure, land and air transport and the European route.

“With the Republic of Montenegro, we have built good neighbourly reports, but we are interested in strengthening these bilateral reports even more in economic and trade exchange terms”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said.

According to a Government communique, the importance of road and railway ties between Kosovo and Montenegro was highlighted at the meeting, but also the need for a bilateral agreement in the field of international transportation of travelers and goods, as well as in the field of air transport.

Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed the fact that within three years in Kosovo all important infrastructure projects, linking villages with towns and cities between them, as well as important railway projects.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of building the tunnel linking Pec and Roshaja and the possibility of tax removal for Kosovo citizens visiting Montenegro and other important projects for both countries.

Meanwhile, Minister Nrkovic thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for the reception, praising that co-operation between Montenegro and Kosovo will continue in all areas of common interest.

At the meeting were Infrastructure Minister Pal Lekaj, Montenegro's ambassador to Kosovo Ferhat Dinosha and Kosovo's ambassador to Montenegro, Skender Durmishi.
