Work on expanding one of the most busy roads in the capital's entrance has begun today.
The Ministry of Infrastructure announced the start of works to expand the national road they call EN25.2H segment at the entrance of the city.
In fact, on the map this segment is known as "M25.2] and is located in Veternik at Alby Mall."

The inauguration ceremony was held nearby today, reports Periscope.
At the ceremony, besides Minister Lekaj attended also the mayor of the Pristina municipality, Shpend Ahmeti.

Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj announced that this first segment of the works is about 600m long.
The company in charge has only 55 days available to complete the works on this segment.
The value of this project amounts to 800 thousand euros, Periscopi reports.
“This first segment of the work is about 600 meters long, within it will include all the investments on and on the ground (the water supply, the sewage, the atmosphere, the transfer of the cable and the postal network, etc.), noting even modern lighting and signaling which will give a whole new picture of this section, which will be linked to the circuit of our capital, Pristina. This road will have four strips, including emergency ones, at the end of this section there will be a fence that will enable you to run to Gjilan and the Palace of Justice. The value of this contract is around 800 thousand euros, the company has 55 days of work available and will have strict supervision both in quality and in construction dynamics, respectively, implementation of the” contract, Minister Lekaj announced.

But despite these threatening warnings for the company, the work can last even longer.
Not rare are the cases when companies drag the works, while jobs remain in half.
Thus, the toll from the heavy traffic caused daily in the segment will begin the work, will become even bigger.
Thus, drivers are recommended to avoid that route over the next 55 days, as long as the work continues.
Better still, it was not during the work of expanding the Pristina road to Veternik.
These works, which had begun on April 18, last year, have not yet been complete.
This road was the first in Kosovo in four lanes in one direction. So eight lanes in both directions.
The intensive work on that road was only during campaign time.

It was warned that light-lighted sidewalks and bicycle paths will be built on both sides of the road, but not everything has come to an end.
Now, the situation doesn't look so good there.
The project was meant to be completed in two days, which would be completed within eight months, which did not happen.

It has been more than a year since the beginning of those works, still described as unfinished.
Nor is the quality of the job better.
Days ago it was reported that the new sidewalk, located on this road, collapsed. Besides the sidewalk, the wall was threatened with collapse.
All of this because of the huge amount of soil that was set aside by top companies, when the road expansion started.
Despite these shortcomings, some three million euros had been set aside for the road. /Periscopi
