Even though everyone thought it was gone, the Ebola virus seems to have returned more powerful than ever. They have been spreading from village to city in Congo for days, raising concerns that the disease will be very difficult to control.
Health Minister Oly Ilunga Kalenga has confirmed several cases in the town of Mbanda, inhabited by about a million people. It has been reported on 42 infected persons until 23 are considered dead.
On Wednesday, the World Health Organization has sent more than 4,000 doses of an experimental vaccine, and another amount is expected to be sent back. The vaccine in question is unlicensed, but it has been effective in some cases when Ebola broke out in West Africa.
